TERMS & CONDITIONS

We advise you read our Terms & Conditions before using our site, by using our site you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions.

We aim to protect your privacy and all personal information. Our Privacy Policy, which specifies how we will use, maintain and protect your information can be read on our Privacy Policy page.

PRICES
The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out in the web site. If we have incorrectly priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product that was advertised at an incorrect price / has typing errors/ is out of stock or isn't as we thought.  All prices stated are inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated. Overseas buyers may incur customs or tax charges and these are the responsibility of the buyer.

ACCEPTANCE
There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually dispatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason.


DELIVERY
Express Delivery charges are not refundable.
Overseas Delivery charges are not refundable.
Remote overseas locations may incur a courier imposed surcharge. This must be paid by yourself before we can dispatch your order.
Delivery will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form. Royal Mail and other courier services are used.
If your order is returned to us due to not being collected it from the post office or courier within the time stated on the 'missed delivery' card you must pay a re-delivery charge (same amount as the original delivery charge) before we can re-send your order. We will not take responsibility if the courier does not leave a card to notify of delivery attempt. If you subsequently choose to cancel your order the original delivery charge will not be refunded.
If your order cannot be delivered because the address you have given us is incomplete or incorrect you must pay a re-delivery charge (same amount as the original delivery charge) before we can re-send your order. If you subsequently choose to cancel your order the original delivery charge will not be refunded.
Any import duty payable is the responsibility of the buyer.
Credit notes & discount codes cannot be used to pay for delivery charges.
No liability will be accepted for late arrivals of parcels.
We estimate approx 3-5 day delivery for Europe and 4-8 day delivery for rest of the world using standard delivery although this is approximate and cannot be guaranteed. Orders may sent sent in multiple parcels depending on weight.
If you have chosen standard shipping then most items will be sent via Royal Mail 2nd class Signed For delivery for UK orders and Royal Mail International Signed For for overseas orders. Please ensure someone is available to sign. If your item(s) cannot be delivered and the item is returned to us then postage will need to be paid again. Larger UK orders will be sent Parcel Force 48hr & will also require a signature.

CREDIT NOTES & DISCOUNT CODES
Credit notes & discount codes have no cash value.
Credit notes & discount codes expire at midnight GMT on the date specified at the time of issue and cannot be used after that date.
Credit notes & discount codes cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer and only one may be used per order.

CUSTOMS & TAX
Any import duty or tax payable is the responsibility of the buyer.

SHIPPING
If payment is made by 1pm items are usually sent same day ( Mon-Fri, excluding bank holidays & busy periods) however this is not guaranteed.

RETURNS
If you wish to return an item for refund / exchange please contact us to advise of return and so that we may send you details for returning. The item(s) must be returned to us within 14 days of receipt. Item(s) must be unworn & in original condition with our tags attached. No refund will be given for item(s) arriving after the 14 day period or if the tags have been removed / item has been worn or altered.

We strongly advise using a traceable means of return postage. The buyer is responsible for item(s) until they are returned, no refunds are given until items arrive back with us.

Your name, address & order number MUST accompany returned item(s) as we cannot refund / exchange without them. You can find your order number in the order confirmation email.

Refunds can only be made via the same payment method the order was originally placed. All refunds will be made within 7 days of receipt by us. We will not give a refund, exchange or credit note for any items not returned to us within 14 days of delivery.
Unless item is faulty then no postage costs will be refunded. If item is found to be faulty then postage refunds are limited to Royal Mail 2nd class recorded delivery charges for UK buyers and the cost of standard Royal Mail International Signed For for overseas buyers. We will not refund above these standard shipping costs for any order that has chosen to use an Express Delivery option. We strongly advise you gain a proof of posting or send via a traceable means of delivery.
Minor signs of wear / light odours may be present with second hand items and would not warrant a refund of either initial shipping costs or returned shipping costs although you are free to return any items within the stated period for whatever reason. Liability is limited to a full refund on goods.

UK CUSTOMERS
Express delivery charges are not refundable.

OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS
Outward shipping charges are not refundable. Return shipping costs must be paid by customer.
If you are returning items from outside the UK, please clearly mark the package 'RETURNING TO SENDER'. If the package is not marked in this way then this may incur customs charges which we would have to deduct from the amount to be refunded. Overseas customers may be charged customs duties & taxes which we cannot be held responsible for in any way.


LEGAL & LIABILITY
If for any reason Tweedmans TM is unable to supply an item you have ordered we will try to offer an alternative. If this is not possible we will supply the remainder of your order and refund the cost of the out of stock item.
Unless stated otherwise all garments are vintage/ second hand / used. Please remember that some items we sell are 20 - 80 years old. Although we do steam suits & jackets etc we do not dry clean/wash items prior to sale. We strongly advise having your item cleaned prior to first use. Most items will have been pre - worn so may exhibit light signs of wear. Any noticeable faults/defects will be noted on the item page as accurately and honestly as possible however we are only human so may miss something, should this be the case then of course you are free to return for a full refund. Every effort is made to ensure you receive garments as described on product details page however if for whatever reason you are unhappy our liability is limited to a full refund of purchase price. Shipping costs are non refundable unless an item is damaged / faulty and this has not been noted before purchase, in this case we can only refund standard Royal Mail 2nd class recorded delivery costs ( no extra refund for Express Delivery upgrade / courier costs etc) for UK orders and for international orders shipping costs are limited to the same value as standard Royal Mail international signed for. Minor signs for wear / light odours may be present with secondhand items and would not warrant a refund of either initial shipping costs or returned shipping costs.
Second hand and vintage clothing may not be suitable for allergy sufferers and no responsibility will be taken by Tweedmans should an allergy occur. As vintage items were often sized smaller than modern, we usually discount any size labels and size them ourselves. All sizes are approximate, we add full measurements for you to check against your own to ensure a good fit. Customer is responsible for checking all measurements are suitable as all sizes given are estimated best fit for guidance only.
We have taken every care to provide honest & accurate product images for each item for sale on our site. However, due to a number of different factors eg; Internet browsers, monitor colours etc, we cannot be held responsible or liable for any differences in colour between the image and the actual items(s).To the extent permitted by applicable law, and as otherwise specified by us, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy of the information contained in any of the materials on this website. We sell mostly vintage / second hand items and although every care is taken to ensure the item(s) are free from defects ( unless stated ), in good order and has nothing in pockets / sharp objects etc we cannot be held responsible if this should not be the case, our liability is limited to a full refund on purchase price. By buying from Tweedmans you accept that items are sold as seen, with Tweedmans liability is limited to a full refund on purchase price.
Your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected (more probably enhanced). Under the distance selling regulations you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days.

ALL text, pictures, logos & trademarks are the property of Tweedmans & their respective owners. They may not be copied or used without prior permission. Tweedmans is a registered trademark.
Law and Jurisdiction: Any contract for your purchase from Tweedmans is governed by and has to be interpreted under the Law of England, and you agree that such contract will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
These terms maybe updated at anytime without your prior notice so please ensure you have read them before using the Tweedmans website.
